Dear Vets and POW's,

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your sacrifice. I pray that the day will come when people in my generation understand the cost of freedom and why that sacrifice is hard, but very necessary as you guys did. Even though I was born in 1972 and don't remember much about this, I have read the stories about how badly you were treated by hippy scums when you came back to America. I pray that one day they will all repent and understand what gratitude is. All the thanks in the world cannot erase all the heartache you endured during and after the war, but I hope you will accept my gratitude as just a small token and that it will ease the burden that you have no doubt carried through the years.
