I became political in 1992, I had been in the Navy for two years when Clinton was elected, I watched Budjets cut, and my Underway time increased from approx. 8 months out to sea, to about an avg. of 10 months to sea. I watched the transformation in the military about Dont ask Dont Tell, and Women on Combatant ships.
Inreading as much news as I do I cant seem to get my mind around somthing.
I will only use one instance to support this, Lets take the ABC Ted Kopple story as an example.
I spend alot of time reading and researching information, after all the time I spend doing this and all the information out there I cannt understand how it is people to include the MSM can willfully surrender all thought, burrieing thier heads in a pile of lies, half truths, and unsubstantiated facts as reality. Specifically when there is so much information out there that disputes thier claims.
My father made a comment last night that I want to share, we were talking about ABC and he said that he believes these MSM guys are all trieing to support Kerrys position becouse they are hidding they fact that they did a hatchet job on you guys in nam, about the war and about the Government.
I guess I just dont understand how people could so readily surrender thier minds to lies.

The same has been said about Germany when the Nazi's seized power.

It's my fear that we are seeing a huge conspiracy to get a Socialist or Collectivist canidate into the Whitehouse.

The story behind this is the Supreme court appointee's and the left will do anything to rip down the Constitution.

If Kerry were to get elected I gaurantee we will see sites like this and FreeRepublic being sued or taken offline. Gun sites like mine will go away. Anything to do with the rights of people to speak up and say what they want about the government will be restricted.

As Americans we have been naive to think this cannot happen here! It is and we had all better worry.

The few are controlling the masses through all kinds of outlets.

Your dad isn't too far off. It is even simpler than that. They are 'comrades' in this thing together, and always will be. They feel as though they suffered through something too, back then. It has been my experience that when the Liberals of this country name and scoff the loudest that is when we are right.
I am of a different mind bent. Altruism is the only tool the liberals have to beat us about the head. If excepted by people it automatically puts society before the individual, Altruism is the key to Communism / Socialism, where the proponents loot the wealth of individuals and thier accomplishments acquired from capitolism under the sacrificial guise of the betterment of society as a collective sum.
This is the crux of my missunderstanding, in my mind this is the most Evil, intellectually bankrupt conception that I can Imagine, and what I cannt get my mind around.
If I were to keep it simple then I would have to view what has happened in this country as a war, a war that has steemed from the 1920s failed communism against a diluted capitolist society.

And remember this about the other half of America that say they are for Kerry - This is what drives them: Liberals believe in complaining about everything, and then protesting it to try to make a change. It gives them a feeling of purpose. They have the greatest respect for 'standing up for what you believe in.' This is why what Kerry did back then won't matter to most of them. They respect the fact that he stood up for what he believed, no matter the cost. That is a hero to them.

Ann Coulter said it best in her book 'Treason.' I can't quote her exactly, but it was something like this: The difference between Liberals and Conservatives is that Liberals think of MAN first...Conservatives think of GOD AND COUNTRY first.

Don't try to wrap your mind around their thought process too much, it will only make you anxious and depressed We just have to beat them at their own game, and make a difference.
