He seems to have forgotten how much we didn't want to hear from him anymore. And we told him so clearly!

I voted for him in 76, my first time voting. I remember a man at the RNC speaking and I turned to my hard core Dem dad and said, this is the guy I like. Turned out that guy was Reagan and he is the reason I am a staunch Republican now. Also the first Republican my dad voted for. I sometimes think back on those days and imagine what it would have been like if this country had to endure 4 more years of Jimmy Carter. If Kerry gets elected we may find out because I think he is just like him.

And if that sounded familiar, go read Kerry's Senate testimony, or one of his VVAW speeches....just change a few words...

I saw a brief pic on MSM the other night...all three of 'em
Kerry, Carter, Clinton
Standing there holding hands together like the Curly, Larry, and Moe.
Then, I realized that the Three Blind Mice must've had to hold hands (or tails) in order to find their way around and still stick together,

I wanted to throw a shoe at the TV...then I remembered the end of the rhyme...

So I got up and began

Honing up the carving knife...( booted up the pc )

The signature tag below has absolutely nothing to do with the three mentioned above.

The Revolutionary War was the bloodiest war until Iraq? I would laugh but the subject is too serious.

Buffman, 1976 was also my first time voting (although I could have
voted in 1972). I will never forget standing in line for over two
hours in Greensboro, NC, to vote for President Ford. I will also
never forget thinking my vote did not really count because NC
went very narrowly for Carter. Thankfully, that is the last time
that it went to the Democrats and having John Edwards on the
ticket is NOT going to change that in 2004. I was politically naive
at the time, but I thought that President Ford had done the best
he could with a bad situation and that he deserved another term.
I thought that Carter could not possibly do all that he had promised
to do during his campaign. That proved to be true, since he got to
Washington and ran smack into a Democratic Congress that was
not about to change anything, even for a fellow Democrat. At
the end of his term, I felt a little sorry for him, but I did not even
think of voting for him. In the years since then, I have learned
just how much of a disaster his presidency was and I am so thankful
that I had the good sense not to vote for him.

Jimmuh's lack of understanding of the Revolution is profound. It is stupid from the standpoint of believing independence was something that could have been negotiated. Like many, Jimmuh (Prezdet Malaise) is the reason I am not a Democrat. President Reagan is the reason I became a Republican.

We lived in Atlanta, GA during the Carter years and my grandparents were in Florida and every Christmas we would drive down I-75 to see them. I will never forget driving down for Christmas (1978 or 1979) and seeing a billboard on the side of the road saying "We the farmers of Georgia apologize to the United States for helping to elect Jimmy Carter President." Laughing

I always think about how he left that embassy full of hostages languish in Iran - was it a full year? I also think about 'what would Kerry do?' in the same situation, because with the way things are going, is inevitable. Shocked
