Forgotten Soldier
This song is dedicated to all of the brave men and women who served in Vietnam, and to their families. A hero’s welcome you all deserved; and never got.
We have performed this at many VVA gatherings, and have seen a healing of spirit for those who still carry inward scars. John Kerry helped to promote anger towards you. You didn't deserve it, and this is a way of saying we love you and Welcome Home!! If you'd like a copy of this song, please send me a private message.
God Bless,
Linda Lewis
Forgotten Soldier
I know the wounds, for some of you, have never gone away. The pain you feel, and scars you bear; remind you every day. And even though it should have been said many years ago. From those of us, who really care, we wanted you to know.
Forgotten Soldier, we are very proud of you. We can't begin to know, all that you've been going through. So please forgive us for not saying this before. We want to 'thank you', and hope you won't hurt anymore….Forgotten Soldier.
Though time has passed, the memories are still fresh on your mind. Of coming home to angry looks, and words that were unkind. You bravely did the only thing that you were told to do. You all deserve a special 'thanks'. And so from us to you:
Forgotten Soldier, we are very proud of you. We can't begin to know, all that you've been going through. So please forgive us for not saying this before. We want to 'thank you', and hope you won't hurt anymore….Forgotten Soldier.
You too are heroes in our eyes. Even though you've been denied this tribute, that has been long overdue. This song's for you.
(Instrumental Solo)
Forgotten Soldier, we are very proud of you. We can't begin to know, all that you've been going through. So please forgive us for not saying this before. We want to 'thank you', 'thank you', and hope you won't hurt anymore….Remembered Soldier

Very nice tribute! You are very talented--I've read a poem you posted too. Thanks for sharing this. Would you possibly be able to post a link to an mp3 so we could hear it? I understand if you can't. |

My husband and I are very invoved with the Vietnam Veterans. We have written several songs for them, including "At The Wall", and other's. They have been played at the Wall in DC, and at the traveling replica of the Wall. We have such a heart for all of them and hate to see John Kerry win! I have been so upset at his even being a canadate. I think what he did was so awful. It's our desire to get as many copies of this song to as many vets as possible. If you go to this address you can her a sample of the songs. http://gergsiwel.tripod.com/OurSite/Pages/VeteransMusicPage1.htm |

We pray that it will reach thousands of vets. I would give anything to have this as a counter to John Kerry's attacks on these brave men and women and families. |
