This is a good article on Early Voting. I would like to see it abolished. It is being used as a propaganda tool by the DNC to try and give the impression that their candidates are garnering the most votes. It should be illegal for any information to be released about who is voting and what party they belong to this far ahead of Election Day. I will be working to have this abolished before 2008.

I am certainly not a lawyer but methinks that this is a state legislature matter and the only way to do it nationaly would be through the constitutioal ammendment process and states will never cede that to the feds

I would like to see a two day election on a weekend which would serve to get more voters out

Our system here in Oregon "vote by mail" is a disaster looking for a place to happen

I agree that it's a horrible practice, but it's a state matter and that shouldn't be changed. I tend to think most state will learn from this and either change the laws to something more reasonable or abolish early voting entirely. What needs to be reformed by the feds is the election funding, and voter registration groups.
