This morning Ted Kennedy, of all people, preached a sermon at the Airy Church of God in Christ in Philadelphia in which, according to the Associated Press, he "urged the congregation to vote for Kerry." Here is an AP photo of the congregation:
Is it legal to hold political rallies in churches? Not if the church wants to maintain its tax-exempt status. But somehow the rules don't apply when the preacher is a Democrat. All those worries about how dangerous it is to mingle religion and politics don't apply, either. |

I thought it was illegal to advocate for a specific candidate in a church? On the other hand the dems most be very worried about the African-American vote, apparently they've seen the new poll showing Bush with 19% of the AA vote in Florida. If that's true Bush will win Florida easily. |

Democrats can do anything illegal since they hold only Republicans to "legal" standards. _________________ A willing tool of the "Vast Right Wing Conspiracy" since 1981. |

I can't believe the African-Americans let themselves be used like this. Geez. Reminds me of the book, "It's okay to leave the Plantation." _________________ Nomorelies Make a donation HERE |

No, it was about how all children should know how to swim.

Have you ever wondered why there is such an issue about separation of church and state but there sure are a lot of polling places in churches - at least in Oklahoma.... |

After the sermon, I heard they sang an old favorite hymn of my late mother's, "Rescue the Perishing." |

Ahem, ahem, my brothers and sisters...you don't actually do immersion baptismals, do you?
If African Americans fall for this baloney, then they will fall for anything. What a bunch of institutionalized thinking. _________________ Never Ever Give Up
