I cannot believe that more than 25% of any population would vote for Kerry. He is so transparenly disingenuous, snotty and full of himself. I cannot beleive this could EVEN be close.
But then, George Carlin once said "There sure are some %^#$ stupid people. Just look at how stupid the average guy is and then figure that about half the people are stupider than that".
Pray that it ain't so. _________________ Think!, Man... Think! |

I told you yesterday Jim that Rasmussen was heading off in a different direction than the other tracking polls. I think this is an anomaly or an attempt to create momentum. There is no basis for these results given the other poll results available.
Rasmussen: Kerry 48, Bush 46
Reuters/Zogby: Bush 48, Kerry 45, Nader 1
TIPP: Bush 50, Kerry 42, Nader 2 | Bush 50, Kerry 42

I hope you are right. I sure wished I lived in Florida and not Georgia. Well, OK... just for 11/2. _________________ Think!, Man... Think! |

Rasmussen has a poor track record. The Weekly Reader poll is indicative of what parents and grandparents are thinking. Bush is ahead in this poll 64-35. Naturally he will not win by that margin but we can extrapolate if this constituency makes up 60% of the total vote and Kerry gets 65% of the remaining 40% we are looking at 54 to 45 for Bush, a mini-landslide. Remember the Weekly Reader has never been wrong, Rasmussen has seldom been right. |

Ahem. Again with this poll crap. Are Republicans allergic to good news?
There are HOW MANY polls out there that show Bush ahead, and you guys want to pick one poll and talk about that?
Okay, well, if it makes you happy to be unhappy, who am I to interfere? _________________ The last refuge of scoundrels is not patriotism; it is finicky liberal humanitarianism.--Martin Paretz |

Oh, and since it makes us happy to be unhappy, I forgot to tell you all that the hopelessly biased AP has Kerry leading Bush by one point.
You know what is so great about all these polls? They are all within the margin of error. So if Bush wins by 7 points, they can still claim they were correct. Even the AP and Rasmussen.
Forget the polls. Go out and get two more Bush votes. _________________ The last refuge of scoundrels is not patriotism; it is finicky liberal humanitarianism.--Martin Paretz |

Two new natinal polls have Bush leading: Gallup Bush +5 and Battleground Bush +4. The other daily tracking polls have Bush expanding his lead: Zogby - Bush +3 and TIPP - Bush +8. So I wouldnt worry about any one poll including Rasmussen. The general consensus is still Bush. |

We need the election eve polls to all show Kerry ahead.

Okay, I hereby declare a MORATORIUM on gloom and doom.
Quit letting these sillyazz polls distract you one way or the other from the real work that is getting accomplished here.
We've been trying to say, right from the start, that we will neither be overly jubilant over a "good" poll, or downhearted at a "bad" one - especially one that is as insignificantly "bad" as the Rassmussen.
We will not let polls dissuade us - we have made a vow that we will get out there and vote NO MATTER WHAT THE DANG POLLS say.
We have known from the start that they're all trying to prop up Kerry. What's changed?
Nothing! Including your commitment level, right?
And now that the gloom and doom has been taken out with the trash, this post of mine will make absolutely no sense at all to future readers of this thread! LOL!

Bu&&er Rassmussen and the horse he rode in on. Check this one out:
CNN/USAToday, 25 Oct:
Bush, 51%
Kerry, 46%
I will observe that CNN hasn't exactly been a Bush supporter.
Not time to stack arms or "don't worry" - but I think we can "be happy" a bit. _________________ "War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things: the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks nothing worth a war, is worse."
