My medic, one of the soldiers I adopted, has sent me these two pics from Iraq. The first one is a soldier who was wounded from the mortar attack on AF Tent City on 9/11.
The second is a soldier who missed grass so much, he grew his own from seeds and cuts it now with scissors. The tents have so much sand on them, you can't even tell they are green.
Thanks to SooZQ for hosting these. I hope you enjoy them. Both tell different stories of what life is about there.
May God bless all our soldiers. |

I want you to note the reason for that young warrior's P.H. .....certainly not for a self inflicted cut on the pinkie _________________ "Si vis pacem, para bellum" |

Thanks for posting them JannDallas. Never pleasant to see our young men and woman who have been injured but I hold such high respect for them and all soldiers.
I've heard of guys growing little plots of grass but that particular pic looks pretty good. Wish my lawn looked like that! |
