In March 2003 our soldiers went into Iraq to topple a dictator that ruled with a cruelty that is not unlike the genicide of Milosevich. Only Saddam Hussein committed genicide on his own people. Weapons of mass destruction, which the world believed he did have, and probably later moved into Syria, before our going in, at this point pales in comparison to the suffering the Iraqi people endured in the hands of that mad man. The mass graves, pregnant women shot in the head, two year olds shot and killed, men and women alike tortured, women raped, limbs cut off, and the daily fear these people lived with for thirty five years.
Our men and women went in and liberated a country in bondage to evil and out of that comes a country struggling to become a democratic society of peace. If for any other reason this is the greatest victory of all.
Our soldiers risked their blood and their lives for us Americans and for the Iraqi people. The President has thanked our soldiers for their undying loyalty and determination to serve our country and assist the Iraqi's in establishing a safe country for the Iraqi people to live in.
Where are all the women's advocate groups singing the praises of our soldiers and praising our President for his courage to do what is not popular, but what is morally correct? What about the Afghani women who were treated like property under the Taliban? Women were not allowed to teach female children. Women's genitalia were mutilated so they would not have sexual desires. Women were beaten and raped and murdered. Where are all the human rights activists praising our soldiers and President for the liberation of the Afghani women?
My God, thirty years later John Kerry is selling out a generation of soldiers just as he did to the generation of Vietnam soldiers. How horrible our soldiers overseas must feel when they hear Kerry denegrating the efforts they have made to protect our country so he could have the right to free speech. What type of gratitude and support does John Kerry give to our troops?
Kerry has called our coalition, "the coalition of the coersed and the bribed". Prime Minister Allawi has been refered to as a "puppet". Kerry has said, and on more than one occassion, "this is the wrong war, at the wrong time, and in the wrong place". What could our soldiers possibly be thinking?
He is degrading our soldiers and minimizing their efforts to serve our country and liberate a country that has needed liberation, which was long over due to begin with. By making unfounded claims about 377 tons of explosives, saying it was lost under our soldiers watch and that our President knew this and tried to cover his mistake up is beyond treasonous. Well, tomorrow look for the story on how it was Russia that helped to move these explosives into Syria as reported on Fox News by Greta Van Sustren. Do you need more evidence than this to see that Kerry is a traitor that would risk our troops welfare and our Presidents credibility for his own gain in his quest to be President?
How could anyone condsider him a viable choice to the highest office in the land when he is not even loyal to the men and women that serve their country? Our President understands this global war on terror and understands the stakes. He has made choices that he knew would hurt him politically and perhaps even cost him this election. President Bush did what was morally right to protect this country from the axis of evil. Our soldiers have proudly served, and those that still serve continue on to protect us, and to protect the countries and peoples that have needed our help and aid.
Now is the time we Americans should stand tall and stand proud that we have a good and moral leader that does what he says and means what he says. Now is the time we Americans tell all our soldiers here and abroad, no matter where they serve, "thank you".
God bless our soldiers. |
