As a family member of 9/11, I reserve the right to say ABSOLUTELY. Reason? WE ARE STILL AT WAR!!! It is NOT time to heal, but time to fight America's ENEMIES! Lest we relive it. Those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it! |

Heck yah!
And throw in Toby Keith's "Angry American" and "American Soldier."
Put a crowd of soldiers on that stage and let them tell the world as they tell us in their blogs and in their letters home that they believe in their cause and in their CinC.
There was a lot of disingenuous "concern" for sending "other people's children" off to a misguided war during the DNC convention - let these men and women step up and tell the world that they are not children and that they are volunteers!
Let them tell of the mountains they have moved in the process of interrupting terror networks and how glad they are to have been part of bringing the prospect of self-governance to 50 million people! They have not had a voice - the media gives air and ink mainly to the service members who speak out against the war. Give the majority a chance to tell the world their truth!
And let us speak! Let us have the stage to tell our younger brothers and sisters and our CinC and our military leaders that we are PROUD of what they have accomplished!
That we are PROUD of their service and grateful to them for stepping up to the plate when it mattered, in the tradition of every service member who has answered the country's call and done their jobs!
Kerry had a couple dozen military men up there with him last night - and he's catching a lot of the young ones, too.
It's up to us to tell them what we know, tell them what we remember. And it's up to us to put ourselves up front and visible in numbers that show Kerry's "Band of Brothers" for the tiny gaggle that it is. _________________ ~ Echo Juliet ~
