No war hero here, just someone else who did his job.
I enlisted in the Air Force in 1970 and was discharged as a SSgt in 1974. Along the way I spent 6 months pushing paper for 14th Aerial Port Squadron, PACAF, and 3 months seeing the country as part of an aerial port mobility ("bare base") team attached to 8th Aerial Port Squadron.
I'm glad to find a new forum to trade opinions with other vets. I'll be around from time to time and in the mean time I hope you'll visit my blog, "Small Town Veteran" at http://smalltownveteran.typepad.com/.

I'm sure you'll have lots of visitors to your blog. 
Looking at all the links to the various veterans groups who have registered their protest of this "Manchurian Candidate," it's difficult to believe that here in America, he can still muster any support at all... especially from any veteran.
Will take a closer look later, when time isn't so scarce. Thanks again for posting your blog.
