Another idea ( always dangerous in the head of an ex E-4 )
When you go to the poll on Tuesday, bring along your camera. DO NOT flaunt it, but have it available unobtrusively. This could be particularly important in areas where there may be some interference, harassment or disruption. You can capture the activity on film. And if some poll watcher tries to object to your wearing medals to vote, a photo can be a good source of deocumenting who and what happened to whom.
Make sure you're set ahead of time to record the time & date, and that your batteries are charged.
And if you have to use it, keep your hand through the loop so they have to try hard to remove it. (That opens them to charges of assualt as well as theft ) They probably won't try direct violence in public, and a photo can intimidate a lot of people who'd prefer to work in the dark.
Be low key, but if there is a confrontation, remain polite and civil, but also speak in a loud enough voice that the issue becomes public; the bad guys won't like that either. _________________ Hating John Kerry continuously since 1971.
