Seems like a look into the future if sKerry won, to me.

Democrat airhead apparent John Edwards has "outlawed" the American flag, and now his ticket has threatened to "ban" Fox News Channel.
Oh, wait: John Kerry's handlers have already flip-flopped on their latest attempt at censorship.
Kerry's senior mouthpiece John Sasso "threatened to ban Fox News staff from the candidate's plane Friday night" because of afternoon business host Neil Cavuto's amusing comment about Osama bin Laden backing Kerry, the Boston Globe reported Sunday.
"Kerry advisers quickly backtracked, however, concluding that an escalating conflict with a major cable channel just days before the election would do nothing to help" the Democrat nominee.
On Cavuto's show Friday, a Republican guest noted that the al-Qaida terrorist leader's latest whining about President Bush amounted to "an endorsement" of Kerry. Another guest disagreed: "I don't think he's going to have a Kerry-Edwards sticker in the cave."
The amiable Cavuto said: "He's all but doing that. I thought I saw a button."
Today the Middle East Media Research Institute reported that the U.S. media had mistranslated bin Laden's latest terrorist threat, which targets not pro-Bush nations but the states that vote to re-elect the president. Will Kerry's campaign denounce this endorsement, which belongs in the same sewer as those offered by NAMBLA, Yasser Arafat and Communist Party USA? |

Thru the looking glass darkly... I know how it feels as I'm already banned by some people (There are "rules" of discourse, can't say the word "Swift" and definitely can't say "Vietnam"...) It's funny and I tolerate it, but there is something about it also that is madness of a sort, bodes ill...

What's this about with Edwards?
I recall a ref. jfk made at the demo convention, a passing remark about "wrapping oneself in the flag" and "closing your eyes." Aside from reporting for duty, that's the one other thing I recall because it struck me as a strange put-down -- maybe I'm misinterpreting, but to me it meant: if you are patriotic, then you are blind. |

Article referenced about Edwards. Sorry, it was a link in Newsmax's article.
Quote: | American Flag 'Outlawed' by Edwards
Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2004
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Vacuous veep wannabe John Edwards has banned the American flag at campaign appearances, according to a left-wing weekly.
New Times Broward Palm Beach, a monomaniacally Bush-hating yuppie tabloid in Fort Lauderdale, tells the sad story of Banjo the Democrat clown and how Edwards' handlers censored him.
During a recent campaign appearance in West Palm by the sue-happy senator, professional clown Jack "Banjo" Williams of Delray Beach showed up early to nab himself a good spot.
"Before the start of the speech, 70-year-old Williams worked the crowd in a star-spangled outfit that made him look like a patriotic Raggedy Andy with a top hat. Williams, a retired social worker, pulled an American flag from his clenched fist for a bit of magic. 'This flag right here doesn't belong to the Republicans,' he said. But the trick drew the ire of an Edwards camp volunteer. All signs and flags are outlawed at the event, Banjo was frostily informed," New Times reported.
"Outlawed"? Is that what the ambulance-chasing chowderhead has in mind?
To paraphrase an old saying, when Old Glory is outlawed, only outlaws will have Old Glory.
If freshman Edwards has his way, it appears "this flag" won't "belong" to anybody, Democrat or Republican or independent.
To be fair, we checked the Associated Press's photo archives of President Bush's and Vice President Dick Cheney's rallies to see if they didn't believe in freedom of expression either. The pictures, including today's appearances by Bush in The Villages, Fla., and Cheney in Xenia, Ohio, showed an abundance of flags and signs. |

American flags were distributed in Phoenix at a Latino convention this summer by volunteers and were summarily removed prior to sKerrys speech.
Just take a look at the crowds where there are sKerry, Edwards events, there is a dearth of American Flags.

Something else wasn't good for the Kerry campaign - Bill O'Reilly last night re-ran the Bush interview on the eve of the election just to slam it to Kerry for not giving him an interview. |

You mean you can't even carry an upside-down flag at an Edwards rally?
If Kedwards get elected, kids will be reciting, "I pledge allegiance to the ACLU of the divided states of the two Americas, with libertine justice for all ambulance chasers!" _________________ The traitor will crater! |

Important point to Bush bashers - Bush answered O'Reilly's questions beautifully and skillfully, and didn't have them in advance. I was impressed with how well Bush did in an interview like that.
