Read here earlier that Daschle was behind by 6 points and toast. Drudge now says they are tied. Anybody know what's happening?

Considering all the grief Daschle has heaped on the Republicans in congress, I was on cloud nine when I thought he was history.

Drudge can no longer be trusted, in my mind he has sold out to the MSM and the Dems.

He's lost his edge. Gotten fat and happy. A little too big for his britches these days. Totally has been tainted by MSM and is less for the truth and upsetting the establishment and more for maintaining the status quo and his image. No doubt.

To JLP, what is Drudge basing it on?!!! Unless we know the bases for his conclusion we cannot know the amount of credence to give him. We know he is not reading tea leaves, but is it exit polls, internals plus exit polls? So until we find out, sorry, no sense looking at the Drudge report. Anyone can guess right. It is another thing to accurately arrive at a conclusion based upon a reading of ???.

Don't throw him out with the bath water just yet. I gave him a royal once over myself a bit earlier. I think he was fed a load of crap from the dark-side bloggers and the MSM. With the headline "ENOUGH OF THE MEDIA POLLS; LET'S COUNT THE PEOPLE'S VOTES!"...I tend to think he saw the error of his ways. Laughing I picture him a bit earlier pooring sweat and swearing under his breath WTF? Laughing

Well, in all fairness to Drudge, it isn't really him that's giving those numbers--He's just linking to the yahoo! News results--

Which, by the way, are now reporting 553 of 827 precincts, 67% of precints reported; Thune 50% and Daschle 50%--Fox has 69% reporting with Thune 51%, Daschle 49%--

I think.......I hope.......Daschle's going down!--C

John Thune Rep 150,767 - 51 percent
Tom Daschle (i) Dem 145,233 - 49 percent
