Bush Rep 16,716 58%
Kerry Dem 11,907 41%

Early, but that would be a big nail in Kerry's coffin. Let's hope this holds up.

I work in MI, but live over the border in Indiana. Being honest I voted in where I live, in a state I knew would go to Bush with or without my vote. But, I spoke with my Michigander son this afternoon before he had voted, and he said he was still torn, and not sure how he'd vote.

He and his wife both work for the Social Security Adm., and those employees are convinced Bush will abolish SS and they will lose their jobs. I patiently explained how absurd that was, even if Bush did begin leveraging privatization for young Americans. Then, I reminded him, there have been no more 9/11s. And I pointed out, Kerry's biggest claim to fame is as a war protestor and he has never seen a military or intelligence expenditure he likes. I asked him to consider that outspoken Vietnam vets overhelmingly despise Kerry, and that our current military are some 75% Bush. He got it.

My son and I are both rather liberal socially. He favors, as I do, gay marriage. But I asked him, do dead gay people at the Twin Towers get to marry- is it an issue for them? What issue matters at all if terrorists can kill us and shut down our country?

He said he'd vote for Bush, even tho his wife will be pissed.

It was the best I could do for MI, being an honest person.

Michigan may show a Bush lead for a time but when Wayne county (Detroit) hits, there will be a huge bump for Kerry.

Remember also, Michigan voted in Granholm. Why? She's done nothing for Mich.
Heck, we're stuck with the Levin brothers, John Conyers and RINO Bill Milliken too. Mich is just suicidal.
I read at NRO that the NAA(L)CP is trying to sue in FED court to keep Detroit polling places open 'till midnight.

They must be havin' trouble rousting the dead to the polls. With disenfranchisement and all that, y'know.

Do not count us out yet. NAACP tried to keep polls open till Midnight, Our GOP folks think we got MI or it will be VERY VERY close. Remember GOP exit polling has been much more accurate than what networks are using.

Here's what I'm using: http://news.yahoo.com/electionresults

Florida's Senate race is close. It's a nail-biter out there!
