To the Moderators and Members of the SVFT,
I would like to thank the Moderators for providing the Election 2004
discussion board for us and the members for posting to it throughout
the day (and night). I do not know how I would have been able to
make it through without it. It was so comforting to read the comments
from people whose opinions and word I trusted and to be able to offer
my own as well. It made me feel as if I were really participating in
what was going on rather than just sitting and passively watching the
returns come in. I had seen the early exit polls, but I was not really
concerned because of the quick response on this board urging us not
to believe them and reminding us that we have learned that we can
not trust the MSM. I blissfully went off to my Bible study last night,
although I did think it was odd that my good friend (who is an ex-hippie
and "flaming liberal") did not seem upset that Bush was going to win
re-election. Her husband is a lawyer and she LOVES John Edwards.
I was surprised when I got home and actually started watching the
returns and saw that Bill, Brit, and Fred looked so upset. I did not
understand why they did not just check this forum to see what was
really happening.
I would also like to tell you what this forum has meant to me throughout
this entire election season. I became a important part of my daily life
and kept me going through a quite few dark days. I LOVE YOU GUYS!!
I hope that there is some way for us to "stick together" until we can
get John Kerry out of the Senate. At least, thank God, he will NEVER
be CinC.
