Mine would have to be Juan trying to spin how the early poll vote for Kerry was a great rightwing conspiracy. I am still trying to work that one out.

Oh I do so agree. Juan looked so puzzled at how the exit polls could be wrong and how he could somehow blame this on the right and make it a conspiracy. He and Susan Estrick are hopeless.

Dan Rather.

Just listening to him, along with Ed Bradley, as they tried so desperately to spin the results. "A John Kerry victory is still within the realm of possibility."

Uh, earth to Dan: No it's not. It's over. Kerry lost, you lost, and the MSM lost. Your candidate's through, and so are you.

It's been a long night, but it feels damn good. Smile

Dan Rather (around 11:23 or approximately the time Fox called Florida for Bush):

"This race is hotter than a Times Square Rolex."

On edit: Make that Florida

Quote:
"Either the exit polls are completely wrong or George Bush loses," FOX News analyst Susan Estrich said.

Shouldn't that be "or George Bush wins"?

This was right after Brit referred to her as a know-it-all (But in a well-meaning way). Cool

I liked the Bush statement giving Kerry 'more time to reflect on the results'.

The statement is gracious and thoughtful on one side, yet sort of like giving him a 'time-out'.

I think the next John Kerry we see will be a very depressed John Kerry who is going to fight on even though it is clear to all he has lost.

How about when Peter Jennings ask the female who was helping him to put up some exit polls (this was about midnight I think). And she said somehting to the effect ..let's see what I have... and he said angrily.."you've got a whole pile there! just pick one!!" hehe
Things were getting testy! hehe

I totally think it was Susan Estrich. She was absolutely beside herself! She was short in her answers and snide...you could tell she was making Brit feel uncomfortable.

Can I just add that I was pleased to see Fox back to its old self last night. Lately I have been so annoyed by them..they were so interested in being Fair and Balanced that sometimes they seemed to almost ignore facts that should've been looked at! But they were back and on fire last night..

Oh, and Michael Barone was simply outstanding. His breakdown of Ohio by distrtict, etc, was amazing.

Oh mY God--can I say it?? FOUR MORE EVER LOVIN' YEARS!

Pinch me!
