Brokaw: Kerry Blamed Low IQ Score on Drinking John Kerry told NBC newsman Tom Brokaw last week that the reason President Bush outscored him on military intelligence tests was that he had likely been drinking the night before his exam.

Brokaw revealed Kerry's off-camera excuse in an election-morning interview with radio host Don Imus. "I asked the question of John Kerry because the New York Times had reported that a man by the name of David Sailer had analyzed their military aptitude tests and then had had IQ experts do an analysis as well - or the Times did," the NBC anchorman explained.

"And they concluded that George W. Bush might be a point or two higher than John Kerry in IQ." Brokaw continued: "And John Kerry was caught a little off guard, he said. 'Well, more power to him. I thought that that was not public.'

And when the interview was over he said, 'I must have been drinking the night before I took that military aptitude test.'"

Can't blame it on drinking

Quote:
A herd of buffalo can move only as fast as the slowest buffalo. When the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular culling of the weakest members.

In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Excessive intake of alcohol, we all know, kills brain cells, but naturally it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers.

The NYT minimized the IQ score difference

Linda Gottfredson, co-director of the University of Delaware-Johns Hopkins Project for the Study of Intelligence and Society, told United Press International: "I recently converted Bush's SAT score to an IQ using the high school norms available for his age cohort. Educational Testing Service happened to have done a study of representative high school students within a year or so of when he took the test. I derived an IQ of 125, which is the 95th percentile." In other words, only one out of 20 people would score higher.

Another IQ expert, Charles Murray of the American Enterprise Institute, the co-author of the bestseller "The Bell Curve," came up with a similar result when asked by UPI. Noting that everybody except high school dropouts takes the PSAT when they are sophomores, Murray calculated from PSAT scores that "I think you're safe in saying that Dubya's IQ, based on his SAT score, is in excess of 120, which puts him in the top 10 percent of the distribution, but I wouldn't try to be more precise than that." By Steve Sailer - UPI National Correspondent http://www.isteve.com/

I am comfortable with the accuracy of saying Kerry has an IQ of 115 to 118 as compared to Bush having an IQ of 125 to 128.

But no matter how one looks at it Bush is smarter than Kerry.

I know that this really goes down hard for the “Bush is stupid” folks. Well, if “W” is stupid, Kerry is stupider!

Looks like he, and they, might have binged last night and this morning also!
From the looks on the faces of all the Kerry clan (John, T and his daughters) when they left 'his' polling place and while he spoke after voting. None of them looked happy.

Rep. Foley Rocks Kerry's 'Sinking Ship'

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Latest reason we admire Rep. Mark Foley, whose district we used to live in:

Foley, appearing this morning on "Fox & Friends," celebrated President Bush's re-election triumph and zinged this year's Sore Loserman ticket:

"Well, Senator Kerry has bragged about his military record; he should be able to recognize a sinking ship."

Both of Ohio's senators have called on John Kerry to admit his defeat.

"There's no mathematical path to victory for Kerry in Ohio," Nicolle Devenish of the Bush-Cheney campaign said today.
