I suspected this morning prior to hearing about Kerry's concession that a battle was underway, a battle to decide who really is in control of today's Democratic Party. On one side, JK, losing in the electoral college but promising to mount all legal challenges. On the other the Clintons, eager to remove an obstacle to Her Highness' chance to run for President in '08 and happy to remind everyone from Lockhart to Liberman just WHO really is in charge. I'm thinking a phone call was made and Kerry's options spelled out to him....concede now and keep your Senate seat or move forward with a court challenge (which you'll lose) and find yourself and Edwards cleaning out Congressional toilets....the choice is yours buddy.  The final November Surprise was the Clintons! |

Nothing would surprise me....after all, Clinton is shooting for Hillary in '08.  |
