Wow...that is sad. Breast cancer is a huge fear of mine (besides flying), and I'm a huge supporter of the Breast Cancer Society and always donating when I can.
I wish her all the best. I know she has some rough times ahead of her. |

I am sorry to hear that. Truly. I am active in the Susan G. Komen Foundation, having lost some near and dear to this monster. Everyone needs to get the news that obesity is one of the leading factors in developing breast cancer, and it is a factor easily controllable. Okay. Not easily <as I sit here eating a homemade cookie-- hypocrite!> but you know.
Get regular exercise, eat right, take your supplements, do the exams, if you are 40+ have the mammograms, and watch your weight.
Get well, Mrs. Edwards, and God bless. _________________ The last refuge of scoundrels is not patriotism; it is finicky liberal humanitarianism.--Martin Paretz |

Prayers from my family, I don't care what side she's on, my prayers are with her, hopefully someday we'll find the cure.
It was just reported on WLS AM in Chicago as well _________________ A common mistake people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

As a retired UPS driver (30 years)
I have personaly known a lot of women custumers who had breast cancer.
I wouldn't wish that on no-one! It's very difficult emotionally to overcome even if you beat it. I have a wife 52 yrs. old and 3 daughters in their late 20's. I too pray they find a cure soon and colon cancer too.
But I sure hope she don't need surgery with that sue-happy husband of hers, it will make any doctor think twice. |

Heres a link to it....

Elizabeth may not be a woman that I would ever call friend, but when you take away all the hype she is just a woman. This is a greatest fear besides ovarian or uteran cancer, if she has to get a mastectomy (I'll say a little prayer that she doesn't, no one should have to go through that) it's devastating to self esteem.
I know it's against your politics Elizabeth (In this case I think using her first name is very appropriate) but may your guardian angel watch over you for the next few months.

I remember her speaking several times and found her to sound like a bitter indignant woman...I did not like what I saw or heard from her, that being said, I will be on my knees praying for her tonight. Cancer killed my father---I know what their family is going through right now. _________________ Never Ever Give Up

Cancer SUCKS! I have lost an Uncle to Colon Cancer, a number of family friends to other types including Breast Cancer.
I wish her well and best luck with the treatment. _________________ U.S. Army 1983-1995, 11C1P/11H2P NBTDT |

Years ago before they had the wonderful cancer detection methods and tests my Dad's sister, my Auntie, died at the tender age of 28 from uterine cancer. My father, when my Uncle died about 11 years ago, was talking to his nephew who was the son of his sister that died. He never knew I heard him because I was cleaning out my Uncles house, but I heard him tell my cousin that of all the things that happened in his life (he and his family were in labor camps in Germany during WWII) that that was the worst thing that he ever had to go through and the saddest time in his life. To this day I never told him that I heard him say this to my cousin, maybe I should have, but the pain I heard in my Dad's voice was so overwhelming I just did not want to bring it up to him and cause him more pain. I never knew my Aunt, she died when I was six months old. After I heard my Dad talking to my cousin I knew and understood just how sobering and devestating cancer is, no matter what kind of cancer it is.
I may not have agreed with Elizabeth Edwards views, but certainly I would not want my worst enemy to go through what she faces now. I too as I am sure all of you will be praying tonight that the Lord heal her and make her whole once again.
May our Lord bless her and keep her. |

Well, someone from the Carolinas posted on here a few weeks ago that she was known to be a fairly nice person, etc.. I thought at the time her true colors were coming out (I was plenty mad at her). I don't know, but maybe she got grumpy witchey because she was sick. I do hope for the sake of those cute little kids that she licks this battle. Cancer is horrible and I hope she gets well. |

Of course, Mrs. Edwards or no one else should have to suffer. I hope she recovers... My best wishes. |

Our family's prayers are also with the Edwards family.
I have 5 family members who have had cancer. 4 have
died from it and thankfully my mother hasn't. I do not
wish for anyone to have this horrible disease not even
my worst enemy.
