|
|
From James Taranto (Wall Street Journal)
"The Best and the Worst of the Presidential Race"
http://www.opinionjournal.com/editorial/feature.html?id=110005842
...
Worst hypocrisy.
The Kerry camp's attacks on the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth. Kerry not only made his Vietnam service the centerpiece of his early campaign but deployed it as a shield from criticism of his national-security record. But if he had moral authority simply by virtue of his having served, the same should have been true of veterans who dissented from his campaign.

Also from the end of that article...I got a chuckle from:
Quote: | On the eve of the Spanish election, al Qaeda blew up a train in Madrid; before Australians voted, their embassy in Jakarta was hit. And all we got was a lousy videotape? |
And Kerry says Bush has made America LESS safe????? _________________ America voted for solid LEADERSHIP and gave "W" a mandate to carry on.

Wasn't delighted with that last line until I read your comment! (Taranto should have used it!) |

John Fraud claimed that he was only protesting policy in Vietnam, but, he did so only by denigrating all those serving who implemented policy. His vote against the $87 billion was a protest of policy, tax and Iraq, but, once again it was to the denigration of those implementing the policy. He can't make the intellectual argument, but, he can kick the faithful dog. _________________ VietNam 1970-1971 |

Ah, come on Shooter, tells us how you really feel. Death is the easy way out. Better to have him live in his misery. |
