I didn't have a lot of money to spend on the campaign, sent some early on to the the RNC, but the money I sent to the Swift Boat Vets was the best bang for the buck.

I usually only supported my local Reps and startup Senators. Mostly the NRA, but I sent more to SVFT than I have during any election cycle. By far the biggest bang for the buck. And it's because of "all of U". _________________ "It is never right to do wrong, even if sanctioned by law" Abe Lincoln

I had never been one to take a financial part in a
political cause but when I found out about SBVT and
their cause I was more than happy to contribute a
bunch. A heck of a lot of moola for this 77 yr. old
fixed income retiree, but, like others have said, the
best value for the buck I've ever spent in my life ! _________________ BillB (Daytona FL)

Swifties have established themselves as a genuine force in the political arena. The focus should certainly not move one inch from JF'ngK's head, but long term perhaps the organization can continue with a different mission. For example, support of candidates that care about ____, ____, ____, or _____. (fill in the blanks). |

They have definitely activated Vietnam Vets, other Veterans and those who care about Veterans...and they were wildly successful because of their disciplined focus and their concern for America...we can all learn a lifetime of lessons from what has transpired...
Once more - thank you... _________________ "We will rally the world to this cause by our efforts, by our courage. We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail." -- President Bush 2001

The only money I ever donated to a political cause was right here. I think that says it all, folks. Much respect and gratitude from my family. |

Best fifty bucks I've ever spent.
Hell, you can't even buy a pair of shoes for fifty bucks...
OK, well, at Wal-Mart you can get some shoes for 19 bucks, but they aint that good!

I'd like to think that the amount I was able to send in (just under $100) was enough to pay for one second's broadcast time for a SwiftBoat ad that aired in Ohio, and that one particular ad airing opened the eyes of 500 undecided Ohioans who when push came to shove, choose to vote for George W. Bush. The best and most important $ 100 dollars I've ever spent. I feel I've contributed (even just a tiny bit) to protect this nation I love so much. |

Yep...Money well spent indeed. It served several purposes at once. |

I've never before contributed any money to a 'cause' like this or a political party, but I feel utterly honored to have given a small amount of money to this group.
John O'Neill is a true American Hero.
Kerry is pure evil. |

I too gave a few hundred bucks to the SVPT (I lost count after awhile), but it was the best cause I've ever given to!
Every once in awhile, even in a blue state like Connecticut, I'm surprised when I hear the impacts of the Swifties...the other night, a lady at a prayer group, when discussing the election, started saying..."You should have heard what Kerry did to the guys in Vietnam...he was a traitor...he conspired with the enemy..." I'll bet she must have read "Unfit for Command"!
Maybe the contribution fund should be kept open, in order to defend John O'Neill if Kerry sues him for libel... _________________ The traitor will crater! |
