Recently, one of our own, Marine 2nd Lt. Donald John Matocha came home. Lt. Matocha was killed in a firefight in Veitnam more than 36 years ago. He died on 15 April, 1968. Lt. Matocha was a recent graduate of Texas A & M University when he left for Vietnam.
The services included Vietnam veterans from all over the nation as well as many members of the Texas A & M corp.
Please, remember Lt. Matocha's family in your prayers. And thank God that he has finally come home to rest. |

As a mother, I am honored to lift the Matocha family in prayer. I pray they will be especially blessed for the incredible sacrifice they made for me - a total stranger.
And a humble "Thank You!" once again to each and every one of you for the sacrifices you've made on my behalf. Over the last several months, I have become so overwhelmed with pride and so very humbled as I've interacted with you; reflecting upon the sacrifices you made to ensure my freedom and safety. There aren't words to convey such appreciation...please know that we are still here and will continue to assist in whatever manner you find helpful.
P.S. Please forgive my ignorance, but: Why did it take 36 years to bring this young man home? |
