|

I just finished watching another excellent interview of Tommy Franks on Scarborough Country (MSNBC), and about 11 minutes into the show, the split screen showed Franks on the left, and scenes of Fallujah fighting on the right...the strange thing is that the enemy fighters, brandishing RPGs and the like, had their faces digitally blurred while US soldiers were not!! Now, call my crazy, but what possible reason can there be for protecting the identity of these terrorists!? I don't get it!! It disgusts me!! |

Interesting observation.
Maybe they are trying to prevent the terrorist command from knowing who is who from their side. Remember, terrorists love watching MSNBC for clues how to fight. |

That's ridiculous as you suggest & stupid - although they will be dead soon... _________________ "We will rally the world to this cause by our efforts, by our courage. We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail." -- President Bush 2001

I have always wondered how the newsies get the pictures up close of the laundry brigade and not get shot. Y'all know the ones I am talking about where the "bad"guy has a rocket launcher and laundry on his head. _________________ "The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I’m here to help." The source of the footage probably blured the faces. Other media used what footage they could get, blurs and all.

Is it possible that those were actually US Special Forces, disguised as insurgents? I don't think they were actually identified as to "side," were they? |

I read somewhere that American news teams buy film footage from other sources, such as Al Jazeera and other local Iraqi sources and use that footage, as their own. It's to risky for them (American reporters) to get film footage out on their own. Most reporters are impedded with U. S. troops or standing on top of a building somewhere, they are not walking out and about looking for news. _________________ Support Our Troops with a Letter or Care Package:
