If this has been posted before, I apologize. Pretty good letter from a classmate of Kerry's at Yale....

The Editor,
Wall Street Journal
Dear Sir/Madame:

I hope you will print this letter about my classmate, John Kerry. Thank you.

The Editor
The Wall Street journal

Dear Sir/Madame:

As a graduate of the Yale class of 1966, I resent the self-serving lies and misrepresentations advanced by my classmate John Kerry.
Herewith, a few corrections:

John Kerry has been using the Pershing name to dramatize his Vietnam experience, claiming to have been a close friend of Richard Pershing, the grandson of General (Black Jack) Pershing. Richard Pershing was a member of the Yale class of 1966, and he was killed in Vietnam shortly after we graduated. However, Kerry's constant references to his 'dearest' friend are exaggerated and exploitative. In fact, Dick Pershing and I roomed together for all 4 years at Yale. I don't remember John Kerry ever being in our room or even being a particular favorite of Dick's. In this regard, it is particularly revealing that a recent biography of General Pershing, Until The Last Trumpet Sounds (by Gene Smith), includes an entire chapter on Dick, primarily on his years at Yale; the name John Kerry does not appear.
The Pershing Family did know Kerry, but they disliked him intensely. This antipathy stemmed primarily from an incident at the Pershing home on Park Avenue not long after Dick's death: at a gathering of friends and family, Kerry worked the room with his anti-Vietnam message, incurring the undying enmity of Mr. and Mrs. Pershing and Dick's older brother Jack, a Green Beret. The family was shocked and insulted by Kerry's insensitivity.
Kerry has implied - as recently as the first Presidential debate -that he became disillusioned about Vietnam by his military experience.
However, as early as 1965, in his Junior year at Yale, he was giving anti-war speeches; and his Class Day Oration in 1966 - prior to graduation - criticized American involvement in Vietnam. These sentiments clearly antedated his Vietnam experience. So why did he join the Navy? He told some classmates that it would help his career.
The above pattern suggests a callous and opportunistic personality. Hardly what I would call Presidential.

And the OIM (Old Irrelevant Media, pka, MSM) too follows this path to American ruin. How do we know this? Only the blogs will publish widely anything damaging to the OIM's chosen one. Oh sure, you might see a letter to the editor once in a while. But, above the fold, never! Regardless of who wins this election, the OIM has been FOREVER and IRREPARABLY tainted as untrustworthy and dishonorable -- just like Humpty Dumpty, their chosen one. Regardless of the outcome, Humpty's journey also will not end November 3.

Ah, yes, Yale, that most revered of leftwing universities. Perhaps this is where the germs of pro-communism, treason and antiamericanism got implanted into Kerry's brain:

Who is Rod Swenson?

At Yale, as at several other Ivy League colleges, there's a fringe movement to divest the university from Israel. The Yale Daily News reports that the "alumni spokesman" for the divestment campaign is one "Rod Swenson MFA '69." According to the Web site of the defunct punk-rock band the Plasmatics:

With credentials that included an MFA from Yale, and creation of the legendary Captain Kink's live sex show theatre in Times Square, the Plasmatics was put together in 1978 by radical anti-artist Rod Swenson around lead singer Wendy O. Williams.

Williams, who died in 1998, "was a shock-rock queen who rose from the ranks of the porn industry where Rod Swenson, her companion of over 20 years, featured her in the live sex shows he promoted," according to this biography.

If I'm not mistaken in that other book "my short four month Tour of Duty" skerry mentions that one of the reasons he volunteered for combat duty was so he could avenge the death of Dick Pershing. Now it turns out he hardly knew the man…….

But, isn't that just typical of everything he's ever done in his nearly worthless life?

His middle name should be "Exploitation."

I never saw that letter and I'm not surprised by much...but that letter did it! That letter would make yet another great TV advertisement. The advertisement title could be: "The lament of Brutus kerry".

It is unbelievavble that Kerry and his camp can portray the actions of others as "being beneath contempt" and the media quickly covers it and ensures maximum exposure. Then an authoritative letter like this one is basically ignored -- even though it says everything we need to know about Kerry's lack of personal honor and integrity.

Just more lies to add to the Kerry list. He has been doing and saying anything to further his political career his whole life. Truth is not a concept Kerry understands.

Here's Kerry on Pershing, from Boston Globe
http://www.boston.com/globe/nation/packages/kerry
Quote:
With Pershing leading the way, the quartet of bonesmen headed into military training. In early February of 1968, Kerry shipped out to the Gulf of Tonkin aboard the USS Gridley, a guided-missile frigate. By then, the antiwar movement was heating up, and Kerry carried with him the memory of seeing demonstrators in Los Angeles beaten by police.

As the Gridley crossed the Pacific, an officer bearing a telegram tracked Kerry down on the deck.

``Do you know a guy named Dick Pershing?'' the officer asked. The officer handed him the paper, and Kerry feared the worst as he opened it.

On Feb. 17, 1968, the telegram said, Richard Pershing had died due to ``wounds received while on a combat mission when his unit came under hostile small-arms and rocket attack while searching for remains of a missing member of his unit.''

Kerry was devastated. The war was no longer an abstract policy issue. One of his best friends, bearing one of the most famous names in US military history, had died trying to find a fallen comrade. Kerry couldn't attend the funeral because he was so far at sea. Instead, he wrote to Pershing's parents, then to his own.

``Dearest Mama and Papa,'' Kerry wrote in his stylistic script. ``What can I say? I am empty, bitter, angry and desperately lost with nothing but war, violence and more war around me. I just don't believe it was meant to be this cruel and senseless -- that anyone could possibly get near to Persh to take his life. What a Goddamn total waste. Why? . . . I have never felt so void of feeling before. . . . With the loss of Persh something has gone out of me -- he was so much a part of my life at the irreplaceable, incomparable moments of love, concerns, anger and compassion exchanged in Bones that can never be replaced.''

There was no way to turn back. Pershing was heading home in a casket, Kerry was heading to Vietnam. A war was waiting.

The family was shocked and insulted by Kerry's insensitivity.
the man HAS no sensitivity,
he has no
conscience

Maybe you could send that letter to that radio personality Laura A. (?) She mentions you guys on TV when she is on Fox. It is ironic I just read an article in Texas in a publication called esmas.com It has a kerry article in their talking about how he wanted out of the war and was depressed about his best friend "pershing". It also said the Mr. Kerry was a decorated war hero unlike George Bush and Clinton. What a load of crap. What has our country come to when we have to worry about a man with no integrity backbone or morals and the news that won't report the news.

You won't get any MSM outlet to print the letter or anything negative towards Kerry. Race is so tight according to polls it could go eather way.
God help us if Kerry wins.

How does the media spin this? Dr. Schlossberg while on the other side of the pond comes out to slander Kerry. The media is so blinded with their agenda that they would rather consider the accountings of the enemy like Ted Koppel did on night line while ignoring the accounts of individuals like Dr. Schlossberg.

Hailing from New England myself, I was exposed to fabricators of New England Tall Tales during my formative years. Sitting around a campfire we would go around the circle and try to out do each other.

Apparently Kerry took this a step further and established tall tales as his campaign messages over the years. Well this Maniac can see right thru his tall tales and the reasons behind them.

If Kerry campaigned based on his political record he would only have a three-minute speech to a group of perspective voters. There is an old saying, “If you can’t dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with **** **** (bovine defecation).” It appears that Kerry baffled the voters of the Commonwealth for many years and they never caught onto his telling of New England tall tales.
