STP and CJPE are sponsoring a rally on Sunday, December 5th at 1:00 p.m. in Old Town Fort Collins Plaza to call for getting the U.S. out of Iraq. The featured speaker will be Abdul Henderson, the Marine who appeared in Michael Moore's movie Fahrenheit 9/11, saying that he would not return to Iraq if ordered to do so. In addition to appearing in Fahrenheit 9/11, Mr. Henderson has testified on Capitol Hill on a congressional panel and appeared on the radio shows Democracy Now and the Joe Madison Show. Mr. Henderson has also appeared on the morning show Good Morning America, and was given the political play of the week on CNN¹s show Inside Politics.
If it is snowing, we will move the rally to Bean Cycle Coffee Shop, located at 144 North College Avenue. Signs will be available at the rally, or bring your own! For additional information, contact Cheryl at (970) 484-4039 or <distaso@frii.com>
from BlackSpeakers.net:
With a first hand look into the war in Iraq , Marine Lance Cpl. Abdul Henderson, has been actively speaking out against the war. He testified on Capitol Hill on a congressional panel in 2003. He was featured in Michael Moore's movie Fahrenheit 9/11 stating that he would not return to Iraq if his reserve unit was called back to duty. Mr. Henderson has also been featured on radio shows Democracy Now and the Joe Madison Show . In addition, he has appeared on the morning show Good Morning
America and was given the political play of the week on CNN's show Inside Politics .
Armed with documents citing outstanding performance and several service medals during his five years as a reservist, the soft-spoken Henderson describes himself as an American Patriot who speaks from the heart.
Mr. Abdul Henderson is standing up for what he believes in, he has a definitive message why everyone should participate in the democratic process. His speech on why Americans should vote has “ left audiences stunned, invigorated, and ready to take action.” With the presidential election around the corner Mr. Henderson's message is a must hear and should not be taken lightly |

Is he still in the reserves? And is he legally permitted to speak out against the war while still serving his country?
I can't believe these people are stupid enough to think we should cut and run. Oh wait. Yes, I can. After all...they want us to lose, don't they?
