Greetings:

I have seen several references on this and other web sites indicating statements by North Vietnamese General Giap to the effect that the American anti-war movement and media encouraged them to not surrender. I have tried to find documentation of those statements but have not been able to. Can any of you help?

Specifically, book titles, exact quotes, page numbers, anything more than paraphrases would be greatly appreciated. I know the concept is pretty much accepted by those who have followed the issue, but as we have all learned in the past few weeks, refuting the critics requires hard documentation. This is a critical point in convincing the undecided voter of the damage Kerry did, and I think it would be worth the effort to document.
