This was sent to me in a e-mail, unknown origin.
ACHOOOOOOOOO!
They walked in tandem, each of the
ninety-two students filing into the
already crowded auditorium. With rich maroon
gowns flowing and the traditional caps, they looked
almost as grown up as they felt. Dads swallowed hard
behind broad smiles, and moms freely brushed away
tears.
This class would not pray during the
commencements ----- not by choice
but because of a recent court ruling prohibiting
it. The principal and several students were careful
to stay within the guidelines allowed by the ruling.
They gave inspirational and challenging
speeches, but no one mentioned divine guidance and
no one asked for blessings on the graduates or
their families.
The speeches were nice, but they were
routine.......until the final speech received a
standing ovation.
A solitary student walked proudly to the
microphone. He stood still and silent for just a
moment, and then, it happened. All 92 students,
every single one of them, suddenly SNEEZED!!!!
The student on stage simply looked at the
audience and said, "GOD BLESS YOU, each and every
one of you!" And he walked off stage.........
The audience exploded into applause. The
graduating class found a unique way to invoke God's
blessing on their future with or without the court's
approval.
Isn't this a wonderful story? Pass it on to
all your friends.........and
GOD BLESS YOU!!!!

This happened at graduation ceremonies at Washington Community High School in Peoria, Ill. Here is part of the story as it actually happened.

The Truth
Although written in a way that feels like inspirational fiction and without the factual details, this is based on a true incident. It was a widely-publicized controversy surrounding the 2001 graduation ceremonies of Washington Community High
School in Peoria, Illinois. According to an Associated Press report from May 17, 2001, student-led prayer was going to be allowed at the graduation but a lawsuit was filed by the American Civil Liberties Union and the senior valedictorian, Natasha Appenheimer. On virtually the eve of graduation, they won a court injunction that banned any prayer at the event. It was the first time in the school's 80 year history that a prayer would not be offered. Natasha was booed by the audience when she received her diploma. Another student, Ryan Brown, was one of the speakers. He paused during his speech to bow his head and pray silently. The Peoria Journal Star newspaper said that after the silent prayer, Ryan "feigned a sneeze" so the audience could respond with a "God bless you." |

I have seen this before, but I had forgotten this heart-warming
story. It is sad that, thanks to liberal judges, freedom of religion
has been transformed into freedom from religion. In the name of
tolerance and inclusion, many Christians sat back and let it happen
with little or no objection.
One only has to look at what is going on this year with the attempt
to convert "Merry Christmas" to "Happy Holidays" and to remove
every vestige of Christ - the true reason for the season - from the
public square to see the real motives of the secular humanists. Their
goal is not really "inclusion" of other religions, but "exclusion" of
Christianity - the avowed religion of 80% of Americans. It is time
for all Christians to stand up for what we believe - not to impose
those beliefs on others, but to prevent the secular humanists from
imposing their beliefs on us.
I think that what really scares these people is the power of Christ to
change peoples hearts. They are afraid that what they have worked
so hard to establish through the courts will be undone by the actions
of people who believe in God. Their "anything goes, just do it" lifestyle
is incompatible with living a Christain life. For example, a girl who is
familiar with Jeremiah 1:5, "Before I formed you in the womb, I knew
you", is not going to choose to have an abortion. Homosexuals who
the secular humanist would say were "born gay" have come out of
that lifestyle through the power of the Holy Spirit. (Of course, they
are just suppressing their true feelings in order to comform to the
rigidity of their new-found faith.) They do not understand the power
that a strong faith provides to withstand the trials and temptations
of life.
I also think that is why these peole hate George Bush so much. They
ridicule him for being stupid and simple-minded, but his sincere faith
in God is what really scares them. As mentioned above, they do not
understand the power of the Holy Spirit to change people's lives. They
are skeptical that the power of the Holy Spirit can overcome an addiction
to alcohol. They do not understand the quiet confidence that comes
from a strong faith in God.
Just as the Dems went too far during the past election, I think that
the secular humanists have now crossed the line. Their obvious
attempts to remove Christ from Christmas and to undermine the
institution of marriage (which was ordained by God) has awoken
a sleeping giant, just as the nomination of John Kerry galvanized
a wonderful group of heros, the Swiftboat Veterans for Truth.
I pray that the Christians of American will be as faithful to their
cause as the SBVTs were to theirs! _________________ Susan R. Morton |

I have always wondered in my 55 years existence on this planet, if and when the RAPTURE would happen, and I been ready for it my whole life.
I don't go to church every Sunday, but I do follow the Ten Commandments faithfully.
If I were to go today, I did the best I could to be saved, did you?
When the earthquake and tidal wave hit with all the devastation I wonder in amazement:
Could this be it? (Or the start of it?)
GOD BLESS US ALL! |
