This article has some funny moments:
<“2008: The Year in Review,” by Pat Sajak, 12/29/04>
(excerpts)
As 2008 draws to a close, it’s time to look back at the biggest stories of the year,... The surprisingly swift and successful bipartisan effort to amend the Constitution and allow a President to serve a third term in office brought us George W. Bush vs. Bill Clinton,... Al Gore’s attempt to provide an alternative was thwarted by a record-low showing in New Hampshire, where he received a total of three votes. Gore’s recount effort was viewed by many as petty and vindictive....
The general campaign began promisingly for the Clintons, as they apologized to the red state voters for their party’s previous characterizations of them as bigoted and stupid. Meanwhile, the Bush campaign was hobbled by the choice of brother Jeb as the Vice Presidential candidate and the controversial war in France. French Premiere Ahmahd al Zaqued’s defiance of United Nations resolutions led to the American-led invasion. Officials in Iraq volunteered to help supervise democratic elections in France.
As the campaign wore on, the Bush Brothers hit their stride just as the campaign aide scandal hit the Clintons, and the Bushes ended up winning by a surprisingly large margin. Most Democrats blamed the loss on the bigotry and stupidity of red state voters.
In other entertainment news, Michael Moore’s George Bush is Satan grossed just over $150 million... The stock market closed at over 18,000 for the first time in history, with shares of mega-company Microsoft/Time-Warner/AOL/Wal-Mart/Trump leading the way... The trial of actor Robert Blake dragged on. ... Federal laws regarding the mention of Christmas were tightened as all words starting with a “k” sound were banned during the holiday season, lest someone be even momentarily offended.... |

In related story, John Kerry's third party campaign stalled right after it started when his "Hey! What about Me?" campaign bus crashed when the current Mrs. Kerry wrestled away control of the bus and ran it into Al Gore's "I invented Play Station" bus. _________________ John Kerry. Dan Rather came out of retirement to break the "Bill Clinton is a Vietnam Vet" story. Documents obtained by CBS show that Clinton frequented a famous Brothel in Saigon during heavy fighting in 1971.
When Clinton was asked about the report, the former President said "the story is accurate and John McCain can verify these details as well".

Dateline January 21, 2008. Hillary Clinton today announced that she is very pleased with daughter Chelsey's out of wedlock baby. Chelsey announced two days ago that she is pregnant. Clinton is quoted as saying, "I'm so proud and this gives me added empathy to those single moms on welfare."
Clinton also is enthused by Chelsey's recent interest in crack cocaine. "She's so wise and caring, reaching out and trying to put herself through what so many good people have done. She is a constant inspiration to me."
The child's father is not coming forward and is severing all ties with Chelsey, who he has known since early last month. Former President, Bill Clinton gushed, "He's so wise. I wish I had his wisdom when I was his age." _________________ John Kerry. A Neville Chamberlain for our times. |
