People who have never served in combat will ever truely understand the emotion of meeting others that have had that distinction and the sacrifice. It spans any and all wars or combat experience, it is a emotion that can never be measured, it is just there, it is something we are proud of and also wished we never had experienced.

Pleeze. Lighten up. Everyone knows Marines don't like Sailors and Airmen don't like the infantry, and on and on. We all know too that it's just inter-service rivalry, healthy and all in fun. It's OK to act the part occasionally, but when the chips are down, we all represent the same civilization and way of life. Because we're now in a war, let's all act like we know it's all in fun.

DADESID, it's like this. I'm talking with a buddy of mine regarding a reunion we have going on this Aug in San Antonio. Anyways we're talking about sharing rooms etc. he says you know we can't put Larry and Oscar together (there nicknames are mean and meaner) last time they were together we had to seperate them...we chuckled and recalled the day. If we didn't have the Navy to fight with we'd end up fighting with our own. For sure when we are in the rear with the gear that stuff happens, but when we are in combat we are all brothers....btw don't ever pick on our corpsman. Wink
