I found this column interesting, especially coming from a liberal.

great article...from the link emphasis mine
Quote: | Some CNN guest expert was opining Monday that the Iraqi people crossed a psychological barrier by voting and getting a taste of free choice (setting aside the argument that they only did so under orders from their religious leaders).
I think it's possible that some of the American people will have crossed a psychological barrier as well. |
in a conversation with my very very liberal leaning nephew today about the election, etc. His position had softened consideraby after seeing the pics of the Iraqi voters. He actually said Kennedy & his ilk were hurting the Dems....couldnt believe I heard that coming from this young man's lips.

The very partisan Jon Stewart wondered something similar (courtesy of NRO's 'The Corner'):
"I've watched this thing unfold from the start and here's the great fear that I have: What if Bush, the president, ours, has been right about this all along? I feel like my world view will not sustain itself and I may, and again I don't know if I can physically do this, implode." _________________ "If I must choose between righteousness and peace, I choose righteousness." -- Theodore Roosevelt |
