verrry long read, but well done, this writer touches on a lot of history in Rather's career, and has really barbecued him...

Rather has had a long standing poison against the Bushs.
Some may recall his interview with then VP Bush when he was running for President. Worth a re-look. I had forgotten how contemptable Rather was in this interview.

That video clip is fantastic. I hope it survives as Rather's epitath. Takes me back to the old days.
Rather threatens the president a couple of times running. Bush Sr. handled him self superlatively.
Pretty funny, in a disgusting sort of way, how Rather reacts to Bush mentioning his 'walking off the set in NY'...... also how Bush concedes that everyone makes mistakes, including he George Bush. Rather never fesses up to making a mistake..... ever. Clearly he was working to rig the 92 ellection.
Rather is rather messed up. |
