Hello,

MSM is at it again back stabbing the president and trying to embarrass him while he's healing our relations with our European friends.

American terrorists are alive and well in the MSM.

Bush tapes not meant for public

Quote:
In a segment of the tapes made available to CNN by ABC News, the president appears to admit to trying marijuana.

Bush says he "wouldn't answer the marijuana question ... 'cause I don't want some little kid doing what I tried."

"But you gotta understand, I want to be president, I want to lead. I want to set -- Do you want your little kid to say, 'Hey daddy, President Bush tried marijuana, I think I will?' " he said.

In a segment of the tapes played on ABC's "Good Morning America," Bush says the same holds true for questions about cocaine use, which have dogged him since the 2000 election.

"The cocaine thing, let me tell you my strategy on that," Bush said on the tape. "Rather than saying no ... I think it's time for someone to draw the line and look people in the eye and say, you know, 'I'm not going to participate in ugly rumors about me and blame my opponent,' and hold the line. Stand up for a system that will not allow this kind of crap to go on."

I support the president 100%

President's Radio Address

Quote:
THE PRESIDENT: Good morning. Tomorrow I leave on a trip to Europe, where I will reaffirm the importance of our transatlantic relationship with our European friends and allies.

Over the last several weeks the world has witnessed momentous events -- Palestinians voting for an end to violence; Ukrainians standing up for their democratic rights; Iraqis going to the polls in free elections. And in Europe, I will talk with leaders at NATO and the European Union about how we can work together to take advantage of the historic opportunities now before us.

Back stabbing the president has to stop.

Just heard the tapes. Bush sounds as honest and sincere in private as he does in public. Can't say that of many politicians. We all know he tried some drugs. Big deal.

The guy tried to bait B2 to say something bad about gays and it backfired too. Great plant Carl Rove!

PS B2's "friend" is a $cumbag.

Doug Wead is following the time-honored prescription for preselling a book. Give 'em a taste with a hint of more and juicer to come when you read the book. A scuzzoid of the lowest variety.

On bashing gays he said:
Quote:
Early on, though, Mr. Bush appeared most worried that Christian conservatives would object to his determination not to criticize gay people. "I think he wants me to attack homosexuals," Mr. Bush said after meeting James Robison, a prominent evangelical minister in Texas.

But Mr. Bush said he did not intend to change his position. He said he told Mr. Robison: "Look, James, I got to tell you two things right off the bat. One, I'm not going to kick gays, because I'm a sinner. How can I differentiate sin?"

A CHRISTIAN man!

Quote:
The private Mr. Bush sounds remarkably similar in many ways to the public President Bush. Many of the taped comments foreshadow aspects of his presidency, including his opposition to both anti-gay language and recognizing same-sex marriage, his skepticism about the United Nations, his sense of moral purpose and his focus on cultivating conservative Christian voters.

Mr. Wead said he withheld many tapes of conversations that were repetitive or of a purely personal nature. The dozen conversations he agreed to play ranged in length from five minutes to nearly half an hour. In them, the future president affectionately addresses Mr. Wead as "Weadie" or "Weadnik," asks if his children still believe in Santa Claus, and chides him for skipping a doctor's appointment. Mr. Bush also regularly gripes about the barbs of the press and his rivals. And he is cocky at times. "It's me versus the world," he told Mr. Wead. "The good news is, the world is on my side. Or more than half of it."

I love that cockiness!

MSM should be the one who is embarassed for airing what is obviously a private conversation.

You all, I am so proud of our President. I personally think this is a GREAT teaching moment as we said in our Sunday School class. Here's a man who, in a private conversation, tells his close friend that he did wrong and knows that he did, but now he is a different person. People do change and should be judged by what they are now.

I would like to tell Fox News to zip it also, and drop that story because they are contributing to the President bashing and I dislike it --totally.

"Dug Weed" claims that he taped these conversations in states where it was not illegal. News flash - it is a Federal crime: q.v. http://assembler.law.cornell.edu/uscode/html/uscode18/usc_sec_18_00002511----000-.html
Of course he can count on the fact that a sitting President of the United States is not going to have his Attorney General file an indictment on a personal matter.

Bottom line is, Bush came out way better than whatever might have been in any taped calls between Bill and Monica.

A plus for Dubya; he gets jammed by a low life and still comes up smelling like a rose. Echoes of Rathergate.

All they show me is that we elected the best man for the job. His sincerity shows in those tapes and no matter what spin the leftstream media puts on them, he comes out sounding good.

The only thing I've heard them really push was, "the tapes bring a new light on Bush's drug use." Guess it was oaky for Billie to try pot, since he didn't inhale, Rolling Eyes but Bush is a drug user because he said he didn't answer because he didn't want kids trying things he made mistakes doing?

Now, when they start bringing up Kerry's unknown discharge, maybe I'll pay a little attention to them again. Pardon me if I don't hold my breath, though Wink

Good thing he didn't have these tapes on the Clintons. Dick Noggin Wead would be found face down in the weeds.

Cool Cool Cool
