Happy St. Pats day everyone!
May Uncle Sam provide all of our service personnel with a case of Guinness, Harps, or Killians today
I've never tried Murphy's, so I left them off the list. _________________ "God Bless America and keep watch over our military personnel. Thanks to all who have served and are serving now!" from a California American. |

I am not Irish but tonight I will proudly toast our troops with a straight shot of Paddy's Old Irish Distilled. The whisky is strong so I will smooth things with a fresh pint of Guinness that has a a head so thick you can carve a shamrock in it.
My toast . . . .
May the winds of fortune sail you,
May you sail a gentle sea.
May it always be the other guy
who says, "this drink's on me."
Thanks for all you do. Come home safely and come home soon.

Just got home from celebrating a fine St Pats day at a DC Irish bar filled with military folks. I began the day going to a 'pin on' ceremony at the Pentagon for a good friend that was promoted to AF Colonel. He's Irish and he must have had a say in choosing the date they had it...
I can't begin to tell you how much pride and emotion I felt when the room full of people stood at attention and placed their right hand over their heart while the National Anthem was played. A very good day indeed. |
