I'm Bill "Scooter" Caraway.

Spent 1968-1973 with the US Naval Air Reserve ... VX5 (Air Test and Evaluation Squadron 5). Worked as a computer specialist for weapons testing (E-4) at NAF China Lake, CA. Imagine ... joined Naval Aviation and got sent to the Mojave Desert!

Closest I got to being shot at was standing in an observer post on the target ranges while Navy/Air Force/Marine pilots tested the latest and greatest weapons. My hat's off to anyone who stood closer under combat.

When I was on active duty, it was common practice that NO ONE went on liberty in uniform. I'm so happy to see the uniform of all branches being worn with renewed pride today. God Bless'm all.

Don't know what I can contribute to the cause, but congratulations to the Swifties for engaging in the fight. I'm with you all the way.

All the best,
Bill
