Several friends and church members came home recently from Iraq. We in Arkansas are proud of their service and applaud their heroism in bringing democracy to the Middle East. Welcome home to the 39th Infantry.

You should be proud, as should those soldiers. How many people got to dip their fingers in the ink well after voting in Iraq's first free elections since way before those soldiers were born?
And look at what that election has done elsewhere in the Middle East. Before the election Lybia renounced development of WMD and rejoined the world. Palestine has elected a new president and they're starting to move in the right direction. Israel is trying to cooperate with Palestine. Syria is scared to death. People in Lebanon interviewed by CNN said the Iraq election influenced them to pour into the streets and demand Syria leave them alone.
They did a hell of a job over there. We're all proud of them. _________________ DLI 78
