Finally, we have gotten Hollywood's attention, in the pocketbook. I would like to propose that we vote not to go to the movies this summer and really make a point, or really hit them where it hurts. These movies will be on cable or on dvd rental even sooner, that way.
My other proposal is for everyone to drop their subscription to New York Times, LA Times and all other totally left wing propaganda papers, until they recognize the power of middle america(red states). These papers continue to support Soros(did anyone see the report about how much taxpayer money was going to Soros's group?), the left wing extremists, anti military, anti americans. Any body with me? |

Havn't read, purchased, rented, or contributed to any of the left's income for years. Refuse to do so. I've been with you all along and will continue my boycott of their s&*t. |

Movies suck. IMHO the last good movie to come out of Hollyweird was "Apollo 13".
I will not be watching any movies this summer, it really cuts in to my motorcycle riding time. _________________ Regards,

Maybe if Hollyweird returned to reflecting the majority of real Americans and making movies along those lines, profits would pick up again.

But Lew, I thought Hollywood WAS real America.
In the world according to Kerry it is.
On a side note, I was riding down around Munich this past weekend, and stopped at a restaraunt for lunch. I struck up a conversation with another American I ran into. I asked him what he was doing in Germany. Get this. He packed up and moved to Germany after Bush was elected. Said he didn't want to live in America with Bush in the Whitehouse.
Now, of course we disagreed on our politics, but I have to respect his decision, because at least he followed through.
I seem to remember some Hollyweird types who threatened to leave the US if Bush was elected/re-elected, but they haven't made good on their promise. _________________ Regards,

I hope the bloke goes to visit Dachau and Moosberg as they are both near Munich. One was a death camp the other the largest POW camp in Germany. He will probably find many in the area who would like to take his place in this country. _________________ 8th Army Korea 68-69 |

It was not because of Bush, he is trying to live closer to the Netherlands to get his drugs. _________________ Terry Boone PCF 90

Well, I'm taking a couple of grandkids to the new Harry Potter
movie in November. But that puppy is English. Nothing from
Hollywierd that I want to watch.
Then there's violent Japanese anime when I get tired of Fox
News, the History Channel, and there's nothing NASCAR on.
I haven't read a newspaper in years. Except for the headlines
in World Weekly News when I'm in the checkout line at the store.
Music? We have a good local "oldies" station here in the corn
fields and I've got hours of the stuff that I like on CDs for those
long trips out of the area.
Gee, I wonder who's spending their money on this stuff?

I'll wait for the DVD!
Movies are being released for rental a lot sooner now, so why go to the theatre!?!...plus the fortune you would have spent on drinks and popcorn will buy you a lot more DVDs! |

Not for most of their garbage. When they do something the people want to see, people go. When it is trash, the CDs don't sell either. _________________ 8th Army Korea 68-69 |

Why would you buy a DVD for $20 when you can rent it for a few bucks? If I like the movie after renting it, I might buy a copy later some time.
Most of the stuff Hollywierd has put put in the last year or so has been crap. I can't remember when the last good one was. I guess the third part of Lord of the Rings. That was worth going to a theater to see (if you go during the daytime bargain matinee, that is). _________________ DLI 78

Or you could just rent a copy, put it in your DVD player, then
play it into your handy-dandy DVD recorder. Well, you need
an extra chip on the video output line to get around the blocking
encryption, but aside from that....
Yeah, I know that it's stealing. The problem I have is that my
grandkids can trash a DVD disc in no time at all. So I back up
all this stuff and give the little boogers a $.50 copy. Actually,
the stuff that I copy most is off the TV.

What y'all said, I agree. I've not been to a movie since Hollywood en masse supported Silky. And I don't plan to attend any theatre for any reason until they change their tune. I'd be encouraged if they only faked changing their tune like Hildebeest. At least we wouldn't have to listen to their unqualified and unsound political drivel. _________________ '58 Airedale HMR(L)-261 VMO-2 |
