Dear Democrat’s,
As one of the 26 million Veterans in the USA and one of more then 500,000 Veteran Voters in the state of WI the John Kerry nomination sent me running to the Republicans. And now the Durbin mess. As I talk to hundreds of other Veterans in WI I am not alone there is a multitude of us that have changed parties. The sole Durbin chastisement from the Democratic Party came from Mayor Daily. At least when a member of the Republican Party shows poor judgment i.e. Trent Lott the Republican leadership comes out and asks their member to step down. The Democratic Party is making it way to easy for me to recruit new voters from the 500,000 Veterans in WI and I get even more joy from moving a Veteran who has been a democrat to change parties. All as I need to do is show them the historic record of John Kerry’s 6-6-71 senate testimony and now I can show them the 2005 Flag Day speech from your #2 guy Durbin. If the Democratic Party wants to continue on the road they are on they will have a difficult time just getting the Veteran vote into double digits.
Sincerely,
Cold War Vet
PS I am going to distribute this letter to as many of the 26,000,000 as I can I will start with the American Legion that has about 3,000,000 members move on to the VFW that is about 1.4 million and then onto Amvets and any other Veteran advocacy group I can find. Perhaps I will spend my retirement years going post to post with this message. _________________ Defender of the honor of those in harms way keeping us out of harms way.

EDITORIAL EXEGESIS
"What's infuriating is that whenever a Democrat luminary goes before
the cameras to initiate damage control he ends up sounding hopelessly
immature. [Democrat Chairman Howard] Dean blamed the controversy over
his uncouth remarks on the Republicans, because its 'exactly what
[they] want.' Democrat Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, responding
to Mr. Durbin's unfortunate analogy, said, 'The noise machine from
the far right never stops. ... This is all a distraction by the
White House.' For his part, Mr. Durbin has also blamed the 'right-wing
media.' So, the Republicans and the White House are supposedly to blame
for what Democrats say. No doubt it's all part of some insidious Karl
Rove plot. As for the 'right-wing media,' Democrats apparently think
it's incredibly unfair that reporters actually report what a politician
has said. Here's some free advice to Democrats: Stop saying stupid
things." --The Washington Times

I really enjoy watching the Democratic leadership committing political seppuku as witnessed by all Americans. Ripping their guts out in the media will provide hundreds of 30-second clips for their opponents in next election.
The floor of the Senate is awash in blood from those who committed Political suicide during this past session. Thank you C-Span and Tivo.
