Guardsman in Iraq Punished Over Blog Post
http://apnews.myway.com/article/20050802/D8BNDQTG0.html

Does the MSM have to spin every single thing?
They make it sound like something that it isn't.
This story concerns a guardsman who inadvertently posted classified info in his blog.
Any vet or active military person would recognize this as a violation that requires disciplinary action.
The MSM spins this as if the guardsman is being persecuted unjustly.

Jeez, I really hate these news spin-meisters.

Jack

When my son first arrived in Iraq he was told (ordered) not to divulge any information regarding his missions, etc. while he is in Iraq. It is because they don't know if anyone is listening in on their telephone calls, reading their emails or even reading internet blogs. Giving out any information that could be used to their (the enemy's) advantage is an enormous danger to the American soldiers. He knows that there are soldiers who are giving out too much information. He has asked them why and they say "I tell my spouse/family members everything". That may be find stateside but not when one is in a war zone. He says he has alot of stories to tell us when he comes home so we all know the rules and honor them.

Operations Security (OPSEC) and Communications Security (COMSEC) are hammered into everyones head in the military. There is no excuse for the behavior of this Guardsman and to tell you the truth, he got off easy.

The MSM is always looking at only one side of an issue; their personal side.

Cool Cool Cool
