Rancher near Bush fires shot in protest
The Dallas Morning News
by G. Robert Hillman
CRAWFORD, Texas – Larry Mattlage has had enough. He's tired of all the commotion at the anti-war camp across the road from his ranch house. He wants all the cars out of his ditch and the anti-war protesters, the pro-war demonstrators and the media to leave. So, he's closed the iron gate to his small spread outside of town and posted "Sorry, We're Closed" and "Help Wanted" signs.

LOL! I like his closing line:
Quote: | But "they're just like company," he concluded. "If you had had your brother-in-law in your house for five days, wouldn't it start stinking after awhile?" |

Rush's take on the neighbor (yesterday's show)
Quote: | And have you heard about the guy that's a neighbor down there firing off a shotgun in the air? He says, "Yeah, well, dove season is coming up." But stop and think about this, what's the peace symbol? The dove. So I think this guy is pretty clever. I love this guy. I think this guy is clever as he can be. Dove season is coming up, and you got a whole bunch of doves down there with Cindy Sheehan.
