I don't know if any have viewed any of the commercials that recently began running for the "Dish Network", a subsidiary of EchoStar Communications Corporation, but each serves as a platform for the expression of a "cutsey" theme, that all other entertainment services "SUCK", getting bills from them "SUCKS", their service "SUCKS" and on and on and on. Honestly, if you watch one of these things, you would think they were selling the word "SUCK" as opposed to a service.
I don't know what type of acceptable language comprises the norm in this country anymore, but this particular word is not one that I would have EVER expected to be featured by a responsible corporate entity in heavily aired commercials.
The coarsening of our culture continues its spiral downward. Let EchoStar know that it's no longer an acceptable trend.

Maybe it's good that I'm NOT over there anymore It's practically impossible to make a 'cussword' in Japanese, they never had them in their vocabulary.. but with the recent trends, they may 'make' their own words to substitutue them |

Right on!
I never really paid a lot of attention to this slide that television has taken into the muck, but good heavens, have you seen Paris Hilton's soft-porn commercial for Carl's Jr? It ain't hamburger they're selling in that thing, that's for sure.
We stopped buying Clairol's Herbal Essense shampoo several years ago over its "totally organic" ooooohing and ahhhhing.
We wonder why porn is the largest revenue draw on the internet and cable television - but hell, we get a steady diet of porn's precursors just in commercials and sitcoms. _________________ ~ Echo Juliet ~

Hey, y'all don't forget the sexy blond with "Its all about the O" _________________ "In a word, I want an American character, that the powers of Europe may be convinced we act for ourselves and not for others; this, in my judgment, is the only way to be respected abroad and happy at home." --George Washington |

My son and daughter in law work so hard to keep my grandchildren from using such language. I don't use it in every day language. What has gotten into the people at Dish Network to be so outright offensive. Fortunatgely, I have cable or I would have to rip the dish off my roof. _________________ Nomorelies Make a donation HERE |
