It makes my heart soar to hear that Houston is opening her heart and doors to the Refugees from New Orleans. I applaud the powers that be as well as the charity organizations (donate to the Houston Salvation Army if you can) that are preparing the Astrodome.  |

I see houston is having second thoughts and I don't blame them. The prospect of 500,000 refugees is a daunting concept. We haven't seen anything like this since the Dustbowl of the 20s or the Cooke Bros collapse in 1876. Worse, people then were closer to rural milleu and knew how to grow food.
That brings a question. Will the New Orleans' refugees take the jobs illegals have and Americans don't want?

I want to know where the Louisiana elected officials are, their police, their welfare officers. Is there no northern Louisiana center that can house their citizens. Do Lousiana borders end at North New Orleans?
