Do John Kerry's military records show the award of a Good Conduct medal at the end of 4 years? If so, ignore this post or delete it, mods.
If not, there has to be a GOOD reason why. I wonder if there is a record of the why (not)? |

I don't thinks officers were entitled to a good conduct medal, it was reserved for the enlisted type's. An officer's conduct was supposed to be above reproach so they didn't qualify for an "Atta boy" award. I could be mistaken.

Medals? Ribbons? What's the difference?
Please forgive my chauvanism, but I enlisted in 1961. They told us to protect the women, not serve shoulder to shoulder.
All kidding aside, I've always placed women on a higher plain. They have more common sense than men do, and would do a far superior job of running the country.
Women are also smarter than men are. How did you do that hot graphic? _________________ Former "War Criminal" |

Oh it's a medal all right. Now, can I get mine upgraded to include
a combat "V" on it. I REALLY earned that! BTW, if you get three
in a row, you get to upgrade your crow and hash marks from red
to gold.
(^_^)
I donno about good conduct medals for women. The War Department
only had a three year enlistment. Hey, the Navy thought I needed a
wife, so they issued me one. Came complete with a service number
(with a "W" at the end of it), seabag, and pay & service records. We
got married in a Navy Chapel and moved from Barracks into Navy
Housing. #1 kid was born in a Navy Hospital. Who could ask for more! _________________ Tin Can Sailor |
