Never saw this moniker for Kerry before, from James Taranto at Opinionjournal.com, Nov. 28, 2005:
* The haughty, French-looking Massachusetts Democrat who single-handedly won the Vietnam War.
But that's a pretty good summation of Kerry's elitist problem

LOL James Taranto sure has a way with words re skeery
here's the full quote

Kerry Throws His Flip-Flops Into the Ring
From the Associated Press comes evidence that John Kerry* is running for president again, reprising the strategy that worked so well in 2004:
Kerry initially voted in favor of a Republican-sponsored resolution calling on President Bush to explain his strategy for success in Iraq. Minutes later, the Democrat changed his vote.
The Courier-Mail of Queensland, Australia, carries a story in tomorrow's paper titled "Downer Delivers Message of Hopelessness." We haven't had a chance to read the actual article yet, but from the headline it certainly sounds as though Kerry is definitely running.
* The haughty, French-looking Massachusetts Democrat who single-handedly won the Vietnam War. |
He was continuing a theme, here's a similiar quote of Taranto from a few days prior

Twelve Angry Left
We occasionally poke fun at John Kerry* for having accomplished so little since he served in Vietnam. But never let it be said that we're anything but even-handed. Check out this report in the Boston Globe:
Cynthia Lovell, a registered Republican, voted for President Bush a year ago, but during 90 minutes behind closed doors with his rival, Senator John F. Kerry, yesterday, she had to admit he was a smart, down-to-earth guy.
Joe Wesolaski, who works for a brokerage firm, declined to say how he voted but emerged from the same closed-door session praising Kerry as a natural leader who was eager to hear everyone's point of view.
Kerry the presidential candidate may have been a loser. But Kerry the jury foreman appeared to be a winner.
Massachusetts' junior senator led a Suffolk Superior Court jury that rejected a claim by two friends who sued a city worker for personal injuries they said stemmed from a car collision in August 2000 on Park Drive. The case lasted only two days, but it didn't take long for Kerry to win over his fellow jurors.
One problem with Kerry's campaign last year was that he hadn't paid his dues. If you want to be in politics, you can't just go directly to the White House. Now that he's been elected jury foreman, perhaps he can set his sights on dogcatcher or deputy mayor, and eventually work his way up to the point where he's a plausible candidate for president. Anything's possible in America.
* The haughty, French-looking Massachusetts Democrat, who by the way served on a civil jury.
