I'm reminded of Hedwig Eva Maria Kiesler, aka Hedy Lamarr, the actress. She developed a radio guidance system for torpedos during WWII. How much was her own work and how much she took from the pro-Nazi, munitions making husband she fled is a question. She shared a patent for ' frequency hopping' which expired before its current application in cell phones.

Baxter apparently found some commonality between musical electronics and missle tech. An unexpected similarity likewise hit Lionel Toys with the outbreak of the Second War. Aside from taking their machinists (some of the finest in the country) and raw materials the Feds virtually padlocked the company with security classifications for their patents. If you've ever had one of the O guage classics you know that when you apply power at the transformer the train goes forward; applied twice gets neutral; applied three times gets reverse and so on. That switching device became Top Secret and was used to arm and detonate bombs through the war. The royalties kept the company afloat through some dry years.

Unbelivable, Baxter obviously is extemely gifted and mathematically talented. He is the opposite of Howard Dean, by training a medical doctor, but who acts like a brainless jacka**.
