Jeh Johnson stated this morning that Kerry might have been mistaken.
Funny I sure though this image was 'seared' in Kerrys memory.

Cant wait for this flip flop to hit the big wires.

Yup, ditto for Rich Masters (Dem strategist). On Fox just now, his comments amounted to:

- the whole SviftVets operation is crap because Jerome Corsi said some stupid things
- at least we know John Kerry was in Southeast Asia (whether in Vietnam or Cambodia is irrelevant), because we have no idea where Bush was
- McCain has spoken out against the SwiftVets, so therefore all Republicans should be doing the same
- the press doesn't need to examine the allegations against Kerry and should instead focus their attention on discrediting the evil Bush-backed SwiftVets
- the Kerry campaign has adequately addressed all issues

This is known as "rolling disclosure." In a few days there will be a complete admission Kerry wasn't in Cambodia. In several more days the medals controversy will be labeled a matter of interpretation. In a few more days the Kerry campaign will say "move on."

This sort of thing, unfortnately, tended to work before new technologies came into existence. But it won't here because as the Cambodia claims unravel, Kerry's entire past unravels with them as does the rationale for his campaign. There is a paper trail from here to the Cambodian border that will continue to disgrace him. That trail is easily followed by Joe Six Pack witha computer. The failed attempt to bury "The New Soldier" is Exhibit A in the new age of readily assessible information.

That's why there is so much pressure on SBVT--the old trick can't be played anymore, and Kerry's handlers know it. You men and women haven't flinched, which would surprise no one who knows you.

Jack, that's an excellent observation.

They indeed will try to deflate this contoversy over time. It is up to us to encourage everyone you know to take the time to keep the pressure on.
