|
|
From her love-in with Hugo Chavez in Venezuela, Sheehan sent a strong message to Diane Feinstein that she had better support the Alito filibuster or else. Feinstein had said she would not support said filibuster but today changed her mind, saying her decision had nothing to do with Sheehan's threat. The threat? That Sheehan would run against Feinstein for her Senate seat.
In another filibuster-related story, the usually comedy-challenged White House Press Secretary, Scott McClellan, got off a pretty good one today when he remarked about Kerry's overseas call for filibuster. [Paraphrased] "That was quite a yodel to be heard from a 5-star ski resort in the Swiss Alps." Note the twinkie little zipper pull.
(Source for both stories: Brits show this afternoon.)
These are, indeed, the good old days.

How about the Democrats having Sheehan run for President and Bin Laden as their VP? They both sound the same and they should get along great. |

The angle's wrong, turn it a little and you'll see it's actually a pacifier.
What a priceless picture, I'm keeping a copy in case Lurch runs again. |

The picture was probably taken in Idaho. Looks like a lecture he delivered after a fall. Said he, "I never fall. An [SS] agent knocked me down." The avoidance of truth by this man is pathologic.

You are correct, but he referred to the SecSer guy as an SOB. So much for respect for the guys willing to die to protect him. _________________ 8th Army Korea 68-69 |

Just heard on Fox that Sheehan is considering running for a senate seat. Just what we need, Kennedy, Kerry and Sheehan all in a row.
As far as Kerry goes, if BS was snow, he'd be a blizzard.

I think if you couple it with her gullibility and stupidity, it almost makes sense, however nonsensical it is. _________________ 8th Army Korea 68-69 |

She's dumb enough to fit right in with most of them, like Kennedy, Kerry, etc. Such airheads, they gotta have a valve stem somewhere. |

It's my understanding that was the threat she issued to Feinstein if she didn't join a filibuster of Alito.
I agree with Me#1, this woman has delusions of granduer that could make the most arrogant moonbat blush. She's gone from 'greiving mother' to world class know it all.
In classic Clint Eastwood voice, "She's a legend in her own mind!" |

_____________________________________________________________
CARACAS, Venezuela - Cindy Sheehan, the peace activist who just announced that she is weighing a run for Senate, plans to protest again outside President Bush's Texas ranch, Venezuela's president said Sunday with Sheehan by his side.
Hugo Chavez, his arm around Sheehan's shoulders, told a group of activists that Sheehan had told him that during Holy Week, in April, "she is going to put up her tent again in front of Mr. Danger's ranch."
"She invited me to put up a tent. Maybe I'll put up my tent also," Chavez said, to applause from activists invited to his weekly broadcast on the final day of the leftist World Social Forum.
Sheehan, whose 24-year-old soldier son, Casey, was killed in Iraq in 2004, thanked Chavez for "supporting life and peace" and she was impressed by his sincerity.
"He said, 'Why don't I run for president?" she said. "I just laughed."
Sheehan, who lives in Berzerkeley, Socialist Republic of Moonbatistan(my addition) said Saturday that she is strongly considering challenging Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein because the lawmaker will not support calls to immediately bring the troops home.
Sheehan, 48, said running in the Democratic primary in June would help "bring attention to all the peace candidates in the country."
Sheehan, who was visiting Venezuela for the six-day forum along with other anti-war and anti-globalization activists, told The Associated Press that she decide whether to run after talking with her three adult children in California.
Sheehan accused Feinstein of being out of touch with Californians on the war in Iraq. Feinstein's campaign manager said the senator did not support Bush and felt she had been misled by his administration. _________________ 8th Army Korea 68-69 |
