Once it's declassified, which both the President and Vice President have the authority to do and in this case did, it's not a leak. It's a release of information.
We need to cap this 'the President leaked classified information' thing in the bud.

Yeah, this is a MSM and DEM full-court press (fully orchestrated and coordinated) for another attempt at Presidential and Vice-Presidential smear. I've been watching this story develop all day as the talking-point lines solidify and change. Early this morning the first notices of this tried to make the case that Bush didn't have the authority to de-classify information (ala AQ wiretapping and monitoring). I guess later in the day they decided that he did have that authority, so they changed the tune. (Wish I'd been alert enough to capture the original stories, and their evolution throughout the day).

They seem to be settling on the sin of hypocrisy. Playing clips of every time the President complained or showed anger about unauthorized leaks of national security secrets, and pounding on how hypocritical that the President is a leaker.
BIG DIFFERENCE!! All those unauthorized leaks were severely damaging to national security!!

Common sense is a detriment to being a member of the MSM.
