Well this is a interesting read... Kind of irritates me:

Quote:
Senior EU officials are currently drafting a “non-emotive lexicon for discussing radicalization” that will be presented to European leaders in June, according to diplomats and civil servants from the 25-nation bloc.

"Certainly 'Islamic terrorism' is something we will not use ... we talk about 'terrorists who abusively invoke Islam'," an EU official said.

Quote:
The officials have examined the impacts of several offensive terms such as Islamist, fundamentalist and jihad to describe acts of terrorism and murder.

Many experts believe that the words “Islam” and “terrorism” shouldn’t be used together, and said that the use of such expressions “alienates” European Muslims.

A problem with this story is that Islam on line dot com, a subsidiary of Al jazeera.... frequently reports stories right out of OZ, or john kerry's vivid imagination. They play kind of fast and loose with facts.

Oh and as a further bit of salt in my allready bad mood, I read this just after reading the full transcript from the plane going down on 911.

There seemed to be no issue for the dear boys chanting allah akbur, over and over again, they were working on the behalf of Islam, I find this offensive to my sensibilities.
