The poll will be, would you like for America to make Mexico the 51st US State? Of course explain all this would entail both good and bad. If they agree then we have a really small fence to put up and if they say no we build our really big fence.

We are a Democracy after all. |
And, being a Democracy, if they turn down our offer of statehood perhaps we should just replicate Mexican immigration law as our rules for them.
Here's a snip of their's:
Quote: | Mexico's General Law of Population sets out the rights and obligations of foreigners, as well as the different statuses associated with foreign immigration.
In general, foreign nationals are welcome to visit Mexico for a defined period of time to take part in non-remunerative activities (e.g. a holiday), and requirements for remunerative visits or longer stays (beyond 180 days) require special permits from the Mexican Consulate.
There are two kinds of permit: Non-Immigrant and Immigrant. Non Immigrant Permits are for people who intend to visit Mexico for a specific purpose and then depart. Immigrant Permits are for people who wish to live in Mexico, temporarily or long term.
You do not have to surrender your natural Citizenship to be granted full resident status in Mexico. Full resident status entitles you to all rights and benefits of a Mexican National (live, work, claim state benefits and to pay taxes) but you cannot vote in Mexican elections. These permits may also prohibit work in specific industries. These are limited, and relate to bar and waiter/waitress work. |
Of course, no official mention is made of the numerous palms which would have to be greased along the way.
No voting or bar/waitress work! The Dems obviously would veto this approach. A fuller explanation of Mexican immigration law is Here

My gut feeling is that if these communist led useful idiots continue their parades and poisonous rhetoric, we will be shortening the length of that fence as in taking Mexico as our own, because their leaders are unable to care for their people and unwilling to help us stem the tide of their most disfranchised.
If they cannot govern, we will. _________________ "An activist is the person who cleans up the water, not the one claiming its dirty."

This would also make available for consumption the OIL reserves in Mexico. Solve 2 problems with one solution.
Actually I think we ought to take back the Canal too
Maybe we could annex four of the Canadian Provinces as well to make something like the EU here ( don't want QueBec ) _________________ "The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I’m here to help." Ronald Reagan |

I was under the impression that Mexico had already infiltrated and conquered all of the States that share a border with them. Haven't most Americans evacuated those areas?

Lord knows, they've been polling us for years.

You meant a survey.
Sorry.
